On May 31, 2012 Wounded Warrior Project™ (WWP) will host its seventh annual Courage Awards & Benefit Dinner™ at Waldorf=Astoria in New York City. WWP’s Courage Awards & Benefit Dinner is our pinnacle event as we honor Wounded Warriors, their families and caregivers, and our most influential supporters.
To date, over 45,000 members of our nation’s armed forces have been physically wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. Studies estimate that more than 300,000 will suffer the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury.
The funds raised on May 31 will help support thousands of warriors from the battlefield to bedside, and beyond. Your involvement will help provide much-needed support for mental health programs such as WWP’s Combat Stress Recovery Program (CSRP), which responds to the mental health needs of our warriors at various stages of the re-adjustment process. Donations raised will also fund WWP adaptive sports, benefits counseling, education and employment services, and many other programs.
With your help, we can make this Courage Awards & Benefit Dinner the most successful yet! The 2011 benefit dinner raised over $1 million and was a sold out event, so we encourage you to make your reservations early.
